BAA was established in 1999. The association is a non profitable association with the main aim of providng a variety of quality, graded accommodation services in Bloemfontein. Members of BAA are compelled to have good tourism ethics and follow regulations of conduct. BAA offers the traveller and tourist the advantage of comfortable, high standard and affordable accommodation. Bloemfontein has become the conference centre in South Africa and has easy access to all sectors of the business community. Within 15 minutes drive of the CBD you are surrounded by the beauty of our landscape where our guests can play golf and also enjoy a quick game drive after an exhausting day of work. Here they can relax and enjoy the surroundings as evening approaches.

We are establishment owners in the tourism industry that strive to provide accredited, affordable accommodation to business people, travellers, tourists and local guests. Members consist of:
Ordinary members
A business trading as a B&B, guesthouse, lodge or accommodation establishment is considered an ordinary member. All existing members follow the legal regulations required by the tourism industry such as star grading, UIF & workman’s compensation registration, minimum wages as regulated by the hospitality industry, business TV licenses and correct insurance with correct liability cover, e.g. B’n B Sure, HIU etc.
Associate Members
Any other business, group or institution whose activities are related to the hospitality industry are considered associate members. This includes shuttle services with the correct public transport license to transport guests.
